About Swimming Hole Finder
Swimming Hole Finder exists because finding a real swimming hole shouldn't mean scrolling through twenty blog posts and a dozen Reddit threads. We compile every spot we can verify, then add the details that matter before you drive out: water type, whether a hike is involved, and whether cliff jumping is a thing there.
A note on safety
Natural swimming spots are not lifeguarded pools. Water levels, currents, and depth change with the season and even the week, and a spot that was safe last summer is not guaranteed to be safe today. Check current conditions, never dive or jump without confirming depth yourself first, and use your judgment. We list what we know, but we cannot verify real-time conditions at every spot.
How listings are researched
Listings are compiled from public geographic data and community submissions, then reviewed for the attributes shown on each page. Details change, so always confirm current conditions before you go, especially after heavy rain or during drought.
